The villa is of a very good standard, clean, well appointed, and with beautiful surroundings. The local bus service is very good and easy to navigate, and it only takes about 10 minutes to get into Florence, with about three buses per hour on average.
Our only reservation was that the description mentioned that renters would be able to access the swimming pool at the local hotel - this was true but the cost was extremely high (17 Euros per person, rising to 20 Euros per person at weekends) and there was no discount available for renters which we had assumed there would be from the website.
We had also hoped to be able to go for walks in the surrounging courntyside, but this was not really feasible and the road outside the villa leading into and out of Florence does not have pavements for the most part, so dangerous for families to walk along.
Having said this, overall we really enjoyed our stay and the accommodation itself was excellent.
Therefore, for a family of five with three boys (aged 14,13 and 11) in the very hot August weather, this was a bit of a downside as we had expected to be able to go swimming before/after sightseeing and this was not affordable.Würden Sie diese Ferienunterkunft an einen Freund empfehlen? Ja

I booked the villa for a family holiday as it was my dad's 60th so a very special occasion. There were 9 of us and we had such an amazing week, the photos of the Villa looked stunning but when we arrived it was even better. The views of the Tuscan hills were almost 360o around the villa incredible and the pool area was idyllic, a perfect place to relax. The directions could have been a little more descriptive but we didn't have any problems finding the villa and it was only 1 hours drive from Pisa airport so a great location.
We were greeted by the owner Mr Roberto and his assistant Letizia who were very welcoming and incredibly helpful. Letizia was always happy to answer any questions via email and make recommendations of places to go and see. We had a problem with the fridge and within an hour they sent someone out to look at it and supply a temporary one.
The villa itself was lovely, the open plan lounge and dining area was huge, I also agree with a previous comment that there is room for another sofa in there as you can't all sit comfortably together. The bedrooms were all well furnished and spacious, we opted to not have the air con on to save some money but it would have been good to have a fan in each of the bedrooms as it did get very hot.
The kitchen was a little small and you definitely couldn't fit 9 of you in there at any onetime, we also found that there was plenty of equipment but not 9 wine glasses or champagne flutes all a bit of a mis match!
Despite very small criticisms these were very minor and we would definitely go back. From reading a previous review we also got a local chef to come in on the night of my dad's 60th which was fantastic, we had a great meal, with a lot of food and alcohol. I would definitely recommend this.
We could have easily spent everyday relaxing by the pool but the the villa is well located to visit areas of Tuscany, so we took the train to Siena and Florence and drove to other towns in the region. The local town of Montaione is very picturesque, it has a reasonable sized supermarket, good restaurants and a great cafe for local coffee and gelateria.

I can highly reccomend the property! Mugnai Home is located in a small village but outside the centrum,15 min walking distance, so you can relax in quiet. It is perfect location for a sigtseeing! 30km to Firenze and 15 min by car to the heart of Chianti area like Radda or Giaole! The owners are very friendy and helpful,have many informaction about the Tuscany. House is big enough for 5 person also have small garden. If you are planning to visit Tuscany and sightseeing this property is perfect. And in the village you can find a swimming pool called Las Vegas.

Très beaux dommaines au milieu des vignes et oliviers. Maison très bien entretenus avec tout le confort (hors TV), avec des pièces très grandes et une très belle hauteur sous plafond. Petit jardin dédié avec table, chaise, transat et BBQ. Lave linge disponible. Piscine agréable et indispensable l'été mais avec un peu de monde la journée. Le soir très agrable de se baigner pour se rafraichier des journées très très chaudes d'aout. Propriétaires très sympa.

lovely house. my only disappointment was the swimming pool which was too shallow to swim in for adults, it was obviously designed for children. [Easy Reserve Comment: As stated in the property description the pool is 8m x 4m in size and 100-160cm in depth (25' x 12', 3' - 5' deep). ]

A very nice place to stay, due to its location really next to the town but nevertheless extremly quiet. The owners are very friendly and always prepared to provide you with some hints regarding activities.

Fabulous food. Comfortable beds. Excellent holiday.
Stayed extra nights as it's such a special place. Beautiful building, enchanting landscape and fabulous hosts.

We used this as a base for visiting Italy, for this the location was great for day trips to Rome, Venice, Verona, Pisa and Florence. The small town Dicomano is also ideal for all your self catering needs. The pool area and views from the room are excellent and the owners are very helpful. The things that stopped me giving a excellent rating are lack of internet in the rooms and not much privacy, no private external space.
