Beschreibung der Unterkunft
Villa San Flippo liegt in einer landschaftlichen wunderschönen Gegend südöstlich von Montalcino, im Anbaugebiet des eleganten und langsam reifenden Brunello Rotweins.
Wie sich bei einer Recherche in den Pfarrarchiven ergeben hat, wurde hier am 21. April 1672 eine Kirche geweiht, im Namen des Heiligen San Filippo Neri. Daher kann man davon ausgehen, dass auch der Ursprung des Bauernhauses auf dieses Datum zurückgeht, zumal es mit der Kapelle eine harmonische Einheit bildet.
Die Wohneinheiten La Villa, Le Coste und Sant'Antimo wurden zusammen mit dem kürzlich von den heutigen Eigentümern erworbenen Weingut einer kompletten Renovierung unterzogen und zu komfortablen Gästeunterkünften umgestaltet. Zudem wurde ein herrlicher Swimmingpool angelegt (geöffnet 15.5.-15.10.).
San Filippo ist umgeben von weiten Grünanlagen und bietet eine erholsame Umgebung.
Ein alter Stein-Backofen kann von den Gästen zum Grillen genutzt werden.
Auf Wunsch finden Führungen durch die Weinberge und die Kelterei statt.

This Villa was absolutely beautiful. It exceeded our expectations in every way. It was surrounded by vineyards and trees. The property itself is meticulously maintained.
The unit was very well decorated and had every amenity we needed. It is about a 5 minute drive into Montalcino, which was one of our favorite towns in Tuscany. The owner, his wife, and property manager (Beatrice) went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Beautifully situated Tuscan getaway. Spacious apartment with lavish touches like a Jacuzzi and fireplace. The kitchen needs some more accessories but that's a minor detail. Wonderful.

Das Anwesen machte einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck, der Empfang war perfekt organisiert und die Wohnung war eigentlich noch schöner, als die Bilder es vorher vermittelt haben. Das perfekte Rückzugsgebiet für eine entspannte Zeit in traumhafter Umgebung. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Dennoch ein Tipp für den Vermieter: die Ausstattung an Geschirr etwas aufstocken, diese fanden wir doch etwas minimalistisch...

We loved Villa San Filippo. It was even better than the pictures suggested...it's set well back from any main roads, so you feel like you are secluded in the country, yet it's only 10 min drive to Montalcino. Le Coste was fantastic....perfect for our needs. The wines of SF are excellent...we had a very good tour and ended up buying some bottles. We will definitely be going back there again.

We loved this villa and we had a wonderful week. The village of Montalcino is unbelievable ! The site is fantastic, the villa is clean, well decorated and very comfortable ! Everything was perfect ! The person who was in charge was very nice, the other one from the agency explained to us many things to do around, the owner was also nice with us.. We just want to go back as soon as possible !

The property as well as the setting and equippment were very good. Far away from the city noise and very close to nature. The only issue was the owner who did not even come to say hello when we arrived and when after 4 days we spoke to him about the vine tour, he indeed organized it, but instead of doing it himsel ( just as he promised) he sent his employee who barely spoke English. Istead, I recomment talking Antonietta- she works there but also has her own vineyard! Overall, very goog place to spend holiday!

Staying at Villa San Filippo was an excellent experience. We were there for two weeks in September 2010. It is located just outside the beautiful town of Montalcino which is famous for it's Brunello wine and has lots of great little restaurants and shops. The Le Coste apartment was spacious and very tastefully furnished (not always the case at Italian agro tourismos). The property is a tiny old village that the owner has transformed into 3 holiday apartments and a winery that produces some highly rated wines. Roberto, the owner was kind enough to give us a tour and private tasting as we are very passionate about wine. The entire property is surrounded by vineyards. There is a large pool with comfortable chairs that's beautifully lit at night. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! We loved it.

This property was so lovely, it was even better than the pictures on the web site. We loved staying here, we were lucky there was noone else using the other two apartments so had the whole place to ourselves. This would be a great place to have a special party with a group as there was also a huge room for entertaining only with a kitchen and bathroom. The pool area was wonderful. The views out over the vines was amazing. Loved waking up to sound of the Italian staff working in the winery on the property. Loved the town of Montelcino which was only 4 km away. This property is in a great location handy to visit other towns, Cortona, Bagno Vignoni, Siena etc. Caught the train to Florence but think it took about 2 hours to get there and due to huge crowds didnt have time to queue and see anything but was still great day walking around the city. I would recommend this villa to anyone it was just perfect. Anita - NZ
