90 km north of Suomussalmi, 30 km east of Taivalkoski, Lake Tyräjärvi 20 m (length 12 km, width 2.5 km), rather low and hard bottom, own boat.
Log cottage, paneled inside, built in 2006. Living room with sofa bed, kitchenette, loft has two parts: both with 2 mattresses. Sauna and bathroom / toilet. Cottage Sininen mökki is located in an open and sunny area, on the shore of Lake Tyräjärvi.

Lake has been planted with pike-perch, which has already reached the fish catch size. Other typical fish species are pike and particularly large-sized perch. Fishing permits to the lake can be bought from the village shop, Kyläkauppa Soronen, 900 m away.
The fishing management fee entitles you to lure fishing using one rod (fishing in flowing waters is prohibited), more www.eraluvat.fi/en/fishing

Hunting: small game hunting area Etelä-Taivalkoski 5622 (www.eraluvat.fi). Permits to the grounds of local hunting association also available (owner gives more information).

Kylmäluoma recreation area 21 km. Excellent fishing opportunities in clear water lakes and ponds. Area has hiking trails, lean-to shelters, campfire sites, in winter cross country ski trails (15 km), snowmobile trails etc. Kylmäluoma is known for its rugged ridges, primeval forest and lakes. Hossa National Park 26 km, distance to its shortest. Visitor center about 45 km away. Finland100 National Park, eg rock paintings to see, varied hiking routes.

Jokijärvi's cultural attractions, eg Kallioniemi, the childhood home of author Kalle Päätalo, 12 km. Taivalkoski, eg old time Jalava shop 30 km.
